Marcia Pottruff
Specific Education

My name is Marcia Pottruff, and I am an experienced Canadian educator, with 25 years of teaching within the Canadian education system, and 8 years with the American International School of Ljubljana, Slovenia. I am a graduate of York University in Toronto, and  the Faculty of Education, University of Western Ontario, Canada. My experience includes teaching K-6, learning support, special education, and primary music. Throughout my career, I gained expertise in Canadian, and American common core curriculum. I seek to inspire children to be happy, learn effectively, and succeed in their educational outcomes. I believe in the importance of working closely with parents, in order to support their child’s academic needs and success. In my leisure time, I enjoy traveling, swimming, exploring nature, and reading. I am excited to be joining the BCCIS teaching team and school community.
